ABOUT
NVTC PROJECT
Our Goal is to build a Vocational Training Center in the Solu-Khumbu Region providing local teenagers (age 15+) with the practical technical skills needed to find a job locally, enabling them to stay in the Region and support their families.
Several cursus will be proposed , on specific fields, such as :
- Construction & Building Trades : Electricity/ Plumbing/Carpentry
- Tourism Trades : Hospitality/Cooking/Trekking Agency
- Bi-qualification programs
- Later on, additional fields ( Agro-food processing, …) to be promoted.
OUR HISTORY
from the origins to NVTC Project
Solucham is an association created in 2022 by 7 international moutain enthusiasts
who trekked in the Solu Khumbu Valley and realised the need to provide local opportunities
to stabilise families and develop the local economy in a sustainable way. Through many
encounters with local families, schools, officials and entrepreneurs, the project of Numbur Vocational Training Center (NVTC) is born.
The correspondent of Solucham for this project is a Nepalese Company called Numbur Vocational Training Center, which has been registered in Kathmandu in March 2023.

Investement funding
For the facilities, both building, workshop equipment, and for the development of the training programmes.
Cover the running costs
Of the Vocational Training Center, mostly salaries of the teachers and administrative personnel, utilities and maintenance of the facilities.
Technical Competence
For the building of the training programmes, both classroom teaching and hands-on manipulations, and for training the teachers.
Sponsor Students
Individual and conditional sponsoring will help lift mountain people out of poverty and offer opportunities to stabilise families in their native surroundings.
Contribute to the Numbur Vocational Training Center by Solucham.
NVTC is a major project. Solid funds are requested to enable a timely construction and sound operations.

Born at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, moving towards the foothills of Mount Everest. Solu^Cham aims at Connecting Mountain's People and Bringing sustainable development opportunities for the youth of Solu-Khumbu in Nepal.
